En este sitio web pueden ver una interesante coleccion de cartas antiguas. Su historia y la de sus autores.

Las primeras cartas eran pintadas a mano, construidas y diseñadas para ser objetos hermosos. Los packs de cartas eran mencionados en testamentos y en inventorios, y dados como regalos de bodas, entonces se consideraban de alto valor y preciosas. No solo las cartas eran creadas y pintadas en muchos colores, y no eran meramente decoradas con tramas ornamentales, pero sus diseños mostraban gran talento artístico, armonia de color y gracia en las formas.

Fernet 1882

La agencia Madre Argentina creó diez comerciales más dos acciones en la vía pública lanzados en la ciudad de córdoba. El cliente Fernet 1882 (Porta) deseaba comunicar una edición especial por el aniversario de la empresa.

El conductor de la campaña, Carlos Bayala es uno de los creativos más importantes de Argentina, y nada de lo que hace pasa desapercibido; Dueños de Banco Hipotecario o Exquisita sábado a la tarde.

En este caso, la campaña crea nuevas controversias en el ambiente publicitario. Una de las fuertes críticas hacia los spots es la falta de concepto, que sería la reducción de todas las ideas a un pensamiento objetivo. Los conceptos tienen un campo de significación preciso y esa es la condición para establecer cuando una idea responde o no coherentemente con el mensaje estratégico.

Descartando la posibilidad de que las ideas tengan un concepto demasiado codificado podemos sacar una conclusión válida, los creativos buscan la repercusión e impacto descuidando la interpretación del consumidor.

Esta estrategia también se puede apreciar en un comercial Inglés, Gorilla Drummer para chocolate Cadbury.

Liquid Resize: ReOrientacion de objetivo en la imagen.

Como anteriormente comentamos en el post de redimensionamiento preservando áreas de interés, finalmente, se lanzó un software que es gratuito para probar este fabuloso algoritmo, se trata del Liquid Resize. Es una versión beta, que no requiere de ningun programa adicional, pero necesita una computadora potente para poder correrlo.

Dungeon & Dragons: Celebrando 30 años de monstruos muy estúpidos.

Este sitio tiene un recorrido por varios monstruos de fantasía generados en el universo de los juegos de rol, particularmente el de D&D.
El sitio tiene una advertencia que dice que el contenido es muy geeky, asi que si no tienen idea que es un juego de rol, pueden pasar directamente a las fotos y divertirse con las cruzas fantásticas entere plantas y dinosaurios o el leon marino.

"Inscribed in the living tile" (Inscripto en la loza viviente) Es una extensisima investigacion sobre el uso de las tipografías en el subterraneo de Toronto. Desde su aplicacion, historia, investigacion, problemas, análisis. La verdad que un trabajo buenísimo y super extenso, para el que tenga tiempo de leerlo todo o simplemente hojearlo, es un caso real del uso de las tipografías en sistemas donde las aplicaciones son reales y la comunicacion tiene que ser efectiva y clara.

Get Smart Trailer

Nos enteramos que está en producción una nueva versión para el cine de esta serie. Es dirigida por Peter Sega, Steve Carrel actuaría de Maxwell Smart y Anne Hathaway sería la 99. Se inició la filmación en marzo y llegará a las pantallas en el 2008. La producción rechazó la cooperación del creador de la serie Mel Brooks.

El gag de la cortina es sacado de la serie, lo de generar un tiempo de pausa en la cabina me parece que no es propio de Maxwell, el siempre actúa rápido aunque haga las cosas mal. Espero que tengan mejores ideas.

The shooting began in March and will arrive at the screens in the 2008. The production rejected the cooperation of the creator of the series Mel Brooks.

Gag of the curtain is removed from the series, the one to generate a time of pause in the cabin seems to me that´s not own of Maxwell, always acts fast although it makes the things bad. I hope that they have better ideas.

Dado vuelta.

La "Casa dada vuelta" es un proyecto de un hombre de negocios polaco llamado Daniel Czapiewski, y se encuentra en el pueblo de Szymbark en Polonia. En vez de ser una simple atracción turística, la casa tambien ambiciona ser una profunda reflexion sobre la era comunista y el estado del mundo. La compañía de Czapiewski tardaria aproximadamente 3 semanas en construir una casa pero esta tardó 114 dias por que los trabajadores se sentian desorientados por los angulos extraños de la pared. Muchos turistas que visitan el lugar se quejan de mareos y nauseas luego de unos minutos de estar dentro de la estructura.

Rather than simply being a bizarre tourist attraction, the house is also meant to be a profound statement about the Communist era and the state of the world. Czapiewski’s company would normally take three weeks to construct a house, but this one took 114 days because the workers were disorientated by the strange angles of the walls. Many tourists who visit complain of mild seasickness and dizziness after just a few minutes of being in the structure.

The Pearce Sisters

De la compañia Aardman, creadora de Wallace & Gromit, llega un nuevo video dirigido por Luis Cook titulado "The Pearce Sisters".
Este cuento negro relata la historia de dos solitarias hermanas que habitan una playa remota. Viven una rutina de pesca hasta que un día encuentran un marinero moribundo, fijan la antención a su recuperación, pero cuando él no puede apreciar sus esfuerzos, un oscuro aspecto de la vida de las hermanas se revela.

This black story relates the history of two solitary sisters who live in a remote beach. They live a routine on fishing until a day they find a sailor dying, fix the antención to his recovery, but when it cannot appreciate his efforts, a dark aspect of the life of the sisters is revealed.

Bansky.

No se si son nuevos o no, pero llegué al sitio de Bansky, el famoso artista callejero inglés que con sus esténciles y sus intervenciones en museos trata de poner en jaque el status quo. Todavia nunca se mostró en público, pero me llamó la atencion su cuaderno de bocetos.
