Rosario.- La municipalidad de Rosario dio hoy un paso más en el camino a transformarse en una ciudad digital al inaugurar la red inalámbrica de conexión a internet de alta velocidad en la peatonal céntrica hasta el tradicional Monumento a la Bandera.

Cualquier notebook, palm o dispositivo portátil que tenga tarjeta de reconocimiento del protocolo wi-fi, tendrá conexión gratuita en esta zona de cobertura a una velocidad máxima de 128 kbps por persona.

La Dirección de Informática de la Intendencia, responsable de la implementación de esta iniciativa, trabajó con software de código abierto para llegar a la puesta en marcha de la red. (Télam)

The municipality of Rosario today took a step more in the way to transform into a digital city when inaugurating the wireless network of high speed Internet in the centric pedestrian street, until the traditional Monument to the Flag.

Any notebook, palm or portable device that works with WIFI, will have gratuitous connection in this zone at a terminal velocity of 128 kbps per user. The Direction of Computer Science of the Intendance, in charge of the implementation of this initiative, worked with open source code to achieve this work.
