El arte cinético es la escultura que contiene piezas móviles. Éstas son accionadas generalmente por el viento, un motor o la mano del observador. Manual pixelism, dejá tu pc y hacelo a mano

Liberté: Un proyecto tipográfico muy interesante de 2005, con una idea muy bien llevada a cabo.

Básicamente la idea es buscar un módulo que pueda repetirse para una "pixel font", el módulo puede ser cualquier cosa, bi o tridimensional, geométrico o no. Debés juntar muchos de estos módulos y empezar a bocetar tu alfabeto.

No se puede utilizar grilla, debes posicionar los módulos a ojo.

Web DNA.

La genética es el estudio de los patrones de herencia, del modo en que los rasgos y las características se transmiten de padres a hijos. Los genes se forman de segmentos de ADN (ácido desoxirribonucleico), la molécula que codifica la información genética en las células. El proyecto WEBDNA, proporciona un mapa genético de tu sitio web en segundos. Inspirado en una compañía que con una muestra de sangre te da una impresion de tu mapa genético para colgar en el living de tu casa y proyectos simulares de estadisticas o de generación gráfica de la interactividad y jerarquias de la información.

Funciona tomando y analizando toda las jerarquias del código de un sitio y transformandolo en gifs de valores semi transparentes.

Es muy interesante poder empezar a ver como reinterpretando la informacion de manera gráfica, permite lograr nuevas maneras de comprensión de grandes cantidades de informacion por medios mas simples y concretos.
Si bien este es un pequeño proyecto experimental, empieza a poner en acción conceptos como el Diseño de Informacion.

ADVERTENCIA: El sitio no funciona muy bien con el Firefox, asi que es recomendable que lo abran con el Internet explorer.

The concept behind this is pretty simple. The system first retrieves the website, then it is parsed like WEB2RSS, stripping away everything that is not part of the body tag, scripts elements, and iframes.

It then analyzes the content. Words in the content are displayed as empty spaces (the gabs you see between the lines). The HTML tags are displayed as colored lines.

The brightness of the lines is determined by the importance of the tags in terms of structure.

You can also determine the richness of text on a site. A site that focuses on (text) content is one where the DNA patterns is large (filling many containers), but contains a lot of empty spaces between the lines (empty space is the individual words).

La edicion.

Viejo, pero poderoso. Esta re-edicion de la película de Stanley Kubrick basado en la novela de Stephen King, "The shinning", muestra como el poder de la edicion puede cambiar el genero discursivo de una obra. Originalmente una de las mas grandes películas de terror, con precisas e inteligentes cortes de edicion, se transforma en un trailer de una simpática y aburrida película familiar.

Un comercial de energía renovables que vale la pena, que se hace mas fuerte con cada premio y con las repeticiónes en blogs. Lamentablemente es dificil encontrar producciónes a favor de las energías renovables. Les dejo el link de la asociación argentina de energías renovables y ambiente para que se informen un poco de lo que pasa en Argentina. Y les dejo el sitio de Epuron, anunciante del comercial para que vean las diferencias en diseño de cada página.

Debemos plantearnos la forma de apoyar la causa.

Imagina una libreria que contenga toda la informacion del mundo sobre todos los libros y la ponga a disposicion de todos para ver y actualizar. Este proyecto "The Open Library" pretende lograr esto. El proyecto esta todavia en Beta, pero ya se puede arrancar a participar en el mismo.

En la edad media, historias de animales eran inmensamente populares por toda Europa, Norte de África y el Medio Oriente. La gente de ese tiempo, dependia mucho de los animales, ya sean salvajes o domésticos para su supervivencia, por lo tanto tenian un obvio interes por los animales que los rodeaban. Pero hay mas en esto que el mero conocimiento de los animales que utilizaban; hay un aspecto distintivo espiritual y hasta místico de los aspectos de los animales de la Edad Media.
